Setup: Each player starts with a set number of tiles (usually 14). The remaining tiles form the draw "pool."
The Initial Meld: On your first turn, you must create and lay down one or more sets (runs or groups) from your hand that have a total value of at least 30 points. Runs are sequences of three or more consecutive numbers of the same color (e.g., Red 7, 8, 9).Groups are three or four tiles of the same number in different colors (e.g., Blue 10, Yellow 10, Black 10). Joker tiles can represent any number and color. If you can't make a 30-point meld, you draw a tile and your turn ends.
Subsequent Turns: After your initial meld (or if you've already melded in a previous turn), you can:
Meld new sets: Lay down additional runs or groups from your hand.
"Work" the tiles: Rearrange, add to, or split existing sets on the table to use tiles from your hand. For example, you could add a Red 6 to a Red 7, 8, 9 run, or split a group of four to create a new set. There's no limit to how many manipulations you can make in a turn.
Draw a tile:If you cannot or choose not to meld or manipulate tiles, you must draw one tile from the pool, and your turn ends.
Winning the Game: The first player to use all the tiles from their rack wins the round. Scoring is then based on the value of the tiles left in the other players' hands.
